Personalized Lactation Support

Welcome

I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Elysia Mason, a mother, a Registered Nurse, and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). It’s my privilege to support families through one of life’s most intimate and transformative experiences: feeding your baby.

Whether you're a first-time parent learning to navigate those first latches or an experienced parent encountering new challenges, you deserve care that is evidence-based, compassionate, and judgment-free. No two feeding journeys are the same—and I’m here to honor yours with expertise, empathy, and respect.

I offer in-home prenatal and initial lactation consultations, as well as follow-up visits in the comfort of your home. Virtual appointments via Zoom are also available by request.

However your journey unfolds, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Offerings

Prenatal Consult- $295
(2 hours)

Let's get ahead of lactation issues with a prenatal lactation consultation! This one-on-one session is designed to help you feel confident and prepared before your baby arrives. Whether you're planning to breastfeed, pump, or combination feed, this consult gives you personalized guidance and a plan tailored to your goals.

Initial Consult- $275
(1 hour 30 minutes)

An initial lactation consult is a comprehensive, personalized session to assess and support you and your baby’s feeding journey. We’ll address any concerns and create a care plan that fits your needs. The consult includes a full feeding assessment, weight check (if in person), and time for all your questions in a supportive, nonjudgmental space.

Follow-up Consult- $225
(60-90 minutes)

A follow-up consult is for established clients and provides continued support as your feeding journey evolves. We’ll review your progress, adjust your care plan as needed, and address any new concerns. It’s a chance to check in, ask questions, and build confidence moving forward.

What about insurance?

At this time, I do not bill insurance directly. However, I am happy to provide a superbill—a detailed receipt containing the necessary codes and documentation—that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

  • Direct insurance billing can limit the flexibility and personalization of care. By remaining out-of-network, I’m able to spend more time with each family, provide care tailored to your needs, and offer a higher standard of one-on-one support—without being constrained by insurance restrictions.

  • A superbill is a medical receipt that includes the following information:

    • My NPI (National Provider Identifier) number

    • ICD-10 diagnosis codes

    • CPT codes

    • Date and type of service provided

    • Service fees paid

You can submit the superbill to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

  • Many plans do reimburse for lactation services, especially under the Affordable Care Act, which requires most plans to cover lactation support from an IBCLC. However, coverage varies based on your individual plan.

Before your appointment, consider calling your insurance provider and asking:

    • “Do you reimburse for out-of-network lactation consultations provided by an IBCLC?”

    • “Are there any restrictions on who can provide these services or how they are delivered (e.g., home visits, virtual visits)?”

    • “What documentation do you require for reimbursement?”

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept Venmo, Zelle, Check or Cash.
